JBD’s research spans patient experience, clinical practice, law, policy, enforcement and care. Publications draw those strands together; the underlying questions continue.

New questions for the research programme

What happens after a patient describes smoked use? The report identifies questions about clinical responses, treatment review, interruptions and patients who leave care. These are research and policy questions; listing them does not claim that a new FOI has been sent.

What do prescribing data tell us? NHSBSA establishes a large number of items while explaining why it cannot reliably identify all distinct private patients. Actual use and treatment outcomes require different evidence.
