Medical cannabis: real life use and benefits

This is a video showing Justice by Design’s Pete Lindsay suffering a neurological attack and his self-medication using prescribed medical cannabis.

These are symptoms that occur daily for Pete. Symptoms can vary greatly for a range of patients with conditions that respond to cannabis based medication. The clip shows how such episodes can develop and how they can be safely managed in real time using prescribed medication.

What you will see is part of ordinary symptom management for people living with this condition. The movements are not extreme, and Pete remains fully conscious throughout, but they demonstrate how quickly function can be lost and restored. For patients who rely on rapid-acting medication, these moments define whether we can move, speak, stand – and simply STAY SAFE. The swift, effective self-medication negates the need for a carer to be present at all times. This is why the law’s current restrictions on administration matter so profoundly.
